She'd been so sure it was just her. Maybe less so at the end, when what was happening felt so real, but all the same, Chrissy never imagined that the same thing would be happening to anyone else, or that there would be any way to stop it. Trying to take all of this in is dizzying, but she does her best, still intermittently glancing over at Eddie as she considers what he's just told her. It's been a week since the night she went back to his trailer, although she was there just minutes ago. Other people were haunted just like she was. He somehow found out enough about it to be able to try to kill that thing — what she saw at the end, she assumes, its real face, not hiding in the guise of someone close to her.

There's only one conclusion she can reach, and it's not very surprising.

"So I did," she says, words slow and careful, her gaze staying fixed on him now, even as she walks. She bites her lip in turn, swallows hard against the lump she can feel in her throat. Her voice wavers when she continues, but she tries her best to ignore it. "Die. Didn't I? What I was seeing, and feeling, that... was it."
