As far as Chrissy is concerned, there's no of course about it. It's nice to hear, though, all the more so for how much he sounds like he means it. She isn't about to pretend that she knows him incredibly well or anything, but the way he sounds and smiles strikes her as genuine, not the kind of posturing she's seen before or an attempt to placate her. Even if it is just that, she doesn't mind. At least he's not laughing at or making fun of her for such a sentimental gift. Eddie hasn't given her any reason to expect that he would, but enough other people have that it's hard to shake the thought.
