"Okay, well, I can't argue with that," Chrissy says with another soft laugh as she sits down, partly because it's easier than getting earnest about any insecurity, partly because it's hard to resist the temptation to joke about something like that. The fact that she staunchly disagrees that she was too cool for Steve is beside the point, really. Besides, that relationship is ancient history, enough so that it feels a little strange to be dwelling on with Eddie now.
